UCAS Code:

  • NN24 BScEcon/AM

3 years (Full-time) / n/a (Part-time) / n/a (Distance / E-Learning)

Students on the Joint Honours Accounting and Management degree programme study the main elements of each of these disciplines. In year one a series of compulsory modules ensures that students gain a solid foundation of knowledge in core areas such as Professional Accounting and Information Management, Industrial Society, Marketing and Strategy, Economics, Quantitative Analysis and Research Methods, Management and Legal Studies. Equal weighting is given to each discipline in year one and throughout the course.

Years two and three are slightly more flexible, as is the case with other degree programmes in Cardiff Business School. In addition to the four compulsory modules in each year, students can select from a number of optional modules depending upon their particular interests and career aspirations. The four compulsory modules in both years are currently Business Finance, Strategic Management, Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. Sample optional modules include International Business, Marketing Theory, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Business Ethics and Advertising, Communication and Promotion Management.

Student Views

I really enjoyed studying Economics at A-level and was aware that Cardiff Business School has a really good reputation and a nice atmosphere. I am enjoying the challenge of learning new skills in Economics and the lecturers make the subject interesting and easy to understand. Cardiff Business School is really friendly and the socials help you to get to know everyone.

In his spare time Richard plays American Football for Cardiff Cobras.
