Business Management (International Management) (BSc)

UCAS Code:

  • N202 BSc/BMIMgt

3 years (Full-time) / n/a (Part-time) / n/a (Distance / E-Learning)

The Business Management (International Management) degree programme gives students the chance to focus on the increasingly important global aspects of Business Management, with modules such as International Human Resource Management, International Business and Marketing, and Japanese Management Systems. In addition, it provides students who have performed well in Year 1 (normally an average of 60% or more) with the option of studying abroad for the second semester of year 2, at one of our international partner institutions (see list below). The job market nowadays is an international one and the ability to say that you have lived, studied and worked in another country can give you the edge in a competitive jobs marketplace.

Your semester abroad will be taught through the medium of English so there’s no need to worry about prior language ability, although it is an ideal opportunity to learn the basics. As the programme is underpinned by British Council Erasmus, you also receive a mobility grant.

For all of the Business Management schemes there is a common first year, in which students take seven compulsory modules which provide a broad understanding of business and management, as well as a foundation for more advanced specialist study.

Our current partners hosting the semester abroad include the following top ranked universities*

Germany

University of Konstanz

Mannheim University

France

Audencia Nantes

ESSEC-EPSCI, Cergy, Paris

ESC Toulouse

Paris-II Panthéon

Switzerland

HEC Lausanne,

Spain

ICADE Madrid

IQS, Barcelona

University of Navarra

Portugal

Universidade Nova De Lisboa

Throughout the programme there is an emphasis on developing a solid core knowledge in business management, while allowing students to specialise in areas they find interesting and which reflect their career aspirations.

Student Views

I really enjoyed studying Economics at A-level and was aware that Cardiff Business School has a really good reputation and a nice atmosphere. I am enjoying the challenge of learning new skills in Economics and the lecturers make the subject interesting and easy to understand. Cardiff Business School is really friendly and the socials help you to get to know everyone.

In his spare time Richard plays American Football for Cardiff Cobras.
