The joint honours programme of German and History (BA) enables students to examine and understand a broad range of key historical events whilst studying a contemporary and increasingly popular language at degree level. By combining these two courses, students will acquire a wide range of transferable skills that will be valuable in any future career. In addition, students will spend their third year in Germany.

ABB, including a B in History, and a B in a modern foreign language for beginners or B in German for the advanced pathway. Exceptions can be made according to personal circumstances.

Typical WBQ Offer

Grade A in the Core plus grades BB at A-level, to include a B in History and a B in a modern foreign language for beginners or B in German for the advanced pathway.

Typical Int Bacc Offer

 32, 5 points each from Higher Level History and German.
