Courses

The Thomas Wall Trust (Charity / Trust)

Reference Number: P211
Level of Study: Postgraduate Taught
Regions: UK

Key Award Information

The Trust arose from the wish of Thomas Wall II in 1920 and has over the years made thousands of awards, in the form of grants, for the assistance, support and encouragement of individuals and organisations in the fields of education and social service in its broadest sense.

Trustees consider applications from UK nationals only who are in financial need and who wish to undertake educational courses at any level and duration, especially courses which are vocational or are concerned with social service in a broad sense and which will lead to paid employment. The Trustees support both full-time and part-time vocational courses and will look favourably at part-time courses which allow the applicant to continue with paid employment to help meet the costs.

Funding

Grants normally supplement assistance received from other sources, and have a current maximum value of £1000 p.a. The Trustees require to be satisfied that the applicant will have sufficient funds to complete the proposed course, and also that the course is reasonable in cost and cannot be equally well pursued at less cost elsewhere.
