Funding enables successful candidates, chosen by independent academic selection committees, to complete study or research at the best universities around the world by awarding scholarships and grants. As far as possible and necessary, the DAAD supports these scholarship holders at their place of study or assignment and maintains contact with DAAD alumni once the funding has come to an end.
Funding
Amount depending of grant and scholarship. In some instances, if the scholarship holder has any secondary income that exceeds the maximum limit of 400 euros per month, the DAAD will deduct this sum from the scholarship instalment. This includes, for example, income from jobs as a doctoral student in the home country.
Eligibility
Applicants must be students from Germany
Academic Criteria: The DAAD funds the further academic and personal qualification of outstanding German students, interns and student trainees, (post)graduates, young academics and researchers.
