Key Award Information

The Cardiff School of English, Communication and Philosophy is a thriving, high-quality academic community committed to achieving and maintaining excellence in both teaching and research. Rated ‘5*’ in the National Research Assessment Exercise since 1996, we are one of the largest schools in Cardiff, attracting students from all over the world. There are currently over 900 students enrolled on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the School.

Overseas MA students who obtain a 'Distinction' at the end of their Master's degree will automatically receive a Merit Scholarship a £1,000 prize on completion of their studies.


Funding

The prize is worth £1,000.


Eligibility

Residency: Only full-fee paying overseas students will be eligible for the award.

Academic Criteria: Students must have obtained a ‘Distinction’ overall on their taught MA programme (i.e. at the end of the Master’s stage).


How to Apply

Students do not need to apply for these scholarships. Eligible students will automatically receive the award.

Students who are eligible for an award will receive a letter following publication of the examination results and receive a cheque soon after the successful results are announced.
