As part of our commitment to encourage young people to take up and continue a career in research, the Campaign’s Scientific Advisory Board will consider applications for PhD studentships. These awards are designed to capture new and highly-qualified science graduates for a career of breast cancer research and thereby encourage first-class students into breast cancer research in the
In addition to the scientific merit of the proposed research and its relevance to the aims of the Charity, particular attention will be paid the quality of the environment in which the award is to be held and the support provided by the supervisor and host institution to help develop the student's career in research.
Awards include fees (not exceeding £3,500 per annum) plus stipend and consumables (not exceeding £12,000 per annum).
Academic Criteria: Awards are usually given to support new and highly-qualified graduates.
Residency: There are no restrictions on applications from students of any nationality.
How to Apply

Please email a copy of the application form in Word format along with all supporting documents to email@example.com.
When emailing your application, the ‘subject’ of your email should read:
Surname, month & year (award meeting and year) followed by PhD/project/fellowship/small pilot and the applicant’s name, for example; 2008NovPhD Smith.
All documents should be saved with a file name in the same format, for example '2008NovPhD Smith application form'. Please also submit three hard copies plus the signed original for project, PhD and scientific fellowship applications, only the signed original copy is required for small pilot grant applications. Hard copies should be sent to the Campaign office at the address below. Please staple all the information together and avoid using paper clips and plastic folders.

Application Deadline: The closing date for applications is early July each year. PhD studentships are awarded in November each year.
