Key Award Information

To enable promising staff members from universities and similar institutions in the developing commonwealth to obtain experience in higher education institutions in the UK.

Funding

University fees, scholar’s return travel, allowance for books, apparatus, approved travel within the country of tenure, and personal maintenance (plus family allowance for awards over 1 year in duration).

Number of Awards: 45-50

Eligibility

Residency: Open to Commonwealth citizens or British protected persons who are permanently resident in Commonwealth countries other than the United Kingdom, not older than 42 years of age and holding or returning to a teaching appointment in a university in a developing Commonwealth country.
