Key Studentship Information

The School is pleased to offer a number of postgraduate studentships for 2012/13. Studentships are awarded on a competitive basis and are available subject to acceptance onto the relevant taught or research programme. They will not be offered in conjunction with another scholarship or funding opportunity.

Awards are available to students studying for a doctoral award in Composition, Performance or Musicology

Three 3-year full-time PhD studentships are available from the School of Music. Funding covers tuition fees at the Home/EU fee rate and a stipend allowance.

Start dates for PhD Studentships will be September 2012 or January 2013.


Funding

This award includes full UK/EU tuition fees for PhD study within the School of Music.


Eligibility

Residency: School of Music studentships are open to candidates of any nationality (UK, EU or overseas); however, studentships will cover tuition fees only at the Home/EU fee rate. International appplicants will be expected to fund the remainder of the course fees through another source.

 


How to Apply

Interested students should submit an application for Doctor of Philosophy (Music) October or January start date with the School of Music as normal request on the application form that they wish to be considered for one of the School's PhD studentship awards.
