Key Studentship Information

Project Title: Cardiff Business School ESRC 1+3 / +3 funded PhD Studentships in Management and Business Studies

Project Description:

Cardiff Business School, supported by the ESRC Wales Doctoral Training Centre (Wales DTC) invites applications for five fully-funded PhD studentships in Management and Business Studies for the 2013/14 academic year, commencing late September 2013.

Cardiff Business School was ranked 4th out of 90 UK business schools in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, and ‘excellent’ for teaching. Lively, elegant, confident and cosmopolitan, the city of Cardiff offers an excellent location in which to study. Students benefit from the combination of a small, friendly, inexpensive city with the cultural and recreational amenities of an ambitious and progressive capital city.

Awards are available on either a 1+3 or +3 basis. A 1+3 studentship provides funding for four years, completing the MSc Social Science Research Methods in year one, followed by the three-year PhD phase. A +3 studentship provides funding for three years only, and assumes that the applicant will already have completed research training via an ESRC-recognised MSc degree (please see ESRC guidance on this).

Applications are invited for any of the identified management and business potential research topics (see our website for further information) or in any of the specialised areas of research covered by each section:-

Supervisors: To contact a member of academic staff to discuss your research proposal prior to making an application (strongly advised), please visit our website.
