The Foundation is one of
The Foundation has introduced a new fund for Care Leavers (i.e. young people who have previously been looked after by their local authority). This fund is being piloted for two years (2007/8 and 2008/9) in the first instance.
Funding
Grants can be made for education costs (books, equipment, travelling costs) maintenance (living costs) and/or payment of tuition fees.
Eligibility
Academic Criteria: To be considered for a postgraduate award, applicants should possess, or expect to obtain, a

Other: Applicants must be under 25 years old on the day their course or year of study begins, able to demonstrate that they are in financial need, and able to show that they have previously been in the care of an inner London Social Services department.
How to Apply
The Foundation is happy to accept applications direct from individuals, as well as recommendations from Social Workers or Support Workers. Enquiries about applying for a grant can be made through an online enquiry form at the Foundation’s website. Enquiries should be marked “Care Leaver Grant Enquiry.”
