Project Description: In order to facilitate more flexible postgraduate study we are offering the following fee-waivers to students from Communities First areas studying on part-time PGT or PGR Modern Foreign Language courses in the School of European Languages, Translation and Politics.
8 Fee waivers at £1,980 provided to students from Communities First areas studying on part-time Modern Foreign Language related PGT courses in 2012/13.
This includes the following degree programmes:
- MScEcon European Governance, & Public Policy
- MA European Studies
- MScEcon International Relations
- MA Translation Studies
- MScEcon Welsh Government and Politics
2 Fee waivers at £1,537 provided to students from Communities First areas studying on part-time Modern Foreign Language related PGR courses in 2012/13. This includes both MPhil and PhD programmes.

Eligibility
Academic Criteria: Applicants should have been offered a place on either a PhD programme in Modern Foreign Languages or one of the following postgraduate taught courses:
- MScEcon European Governance, & Public Policy
- MA European Studies
- MScEcon International Relations
- MA Translation Studies
- MScEcon Welsh Government and Politics
In each case, applicants will be required to satisfy the entry requirements specific to that course. Please see the individual course information pages on the school website for more information.
Residency: Successful applicants will be ordinarily resident in a communities first area of Wales and and meet the eligibility criteria of the Communities First Programme.

Please note you will not be eligible for funding until you are in receipt of an offer to study at Cardiff University and meet the eligibility criteria of the Communities First Programme.
