Human Resource Management (PhD)

Note: this 3-year programme includes 9 months/1 year of research training

Programme Description:

We offer a full range of expertise, but the following areas are of particular strength:

• Organisational Studies (especially interdisciplinary perspectives)
• Human Resource Management
• Critical Management Studies
• Public Sector Improvement

• The international excellence of the section's research is reflected in the way section members continue to publish regularly in a range of top British and American academic journals
• Several research projects have made a direct impact on decisions made by private sector organisations, employers' federations, and trade union bodies and government agencies
• The Section enjoys continuing success in attracting research funding

Entry Requirements:

Suitable for graduates in business and management, human resource management, politics, sociology, psychology, economics or accounting.

Applicants should preferably have a good Masters degree but those with a good Honours degree or equivalent and an interest in pursuing in-depth research in an appropriate area will also be considered.
