In year one, you take four modules in English law and others relating to French language and culture. This is followed in year two by an introduction to the French legal system along with advanced courses in the French language and a range of modules offered by
The Cardiff Law and Language degree programmes meet the requirements of the governing bodies of the solicitors and barristers branches of the legal profession. Our students may include the foundation subjects in their studies and obtain exemption from the academic stage of the professional examinations; but it is normally possible for them to supplement this by at least one optional legal subject, in addition to their French studies.
