History and Sociology BScEcon (Joint Honours) gives students the opportunity to combine study of the fascinating subject of history with the study of wider society and the social processes within it. The School of Social Sciences is an internationally recognised centre of high quality teaching and research, with one half of all its research rated as either world-leading or internationally excellent in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. By combining these two courses, students will gain a wealth of transferable skills and knowledge beneficial to the world of employment, opening the doors to a variety of career paths. Students will also enjoy superb teaching and a range of optional modules, enabling students to tailor their course to their own needs and interests.
